Southern California residents will no longer get deep discounts on Disneyland and Disney California Adventure tickets as they have for the past decade.
Disney had sold 2-for-1 tickets deals and the like to local residents from 2003 through last year as a way to bring in people during the slower times of the year, such as January through May. Higher attendance which has been bolstered by last year’s Cars Land addition to Disney California Adventure has prompted Disney to cancel the discounts this year.
The Disneyland Resort has had record attendance since the debut of the $1 billion makeover of Disney California Adventure, including the 12-acre Cars Land area.
