A Disney cruise ship is stuck in the Bahamas due to bad weather.
The Disney Magic ship carrying 2,400 passengers was at Disney’s private island Castaway Cay on Friday when gale force winds prevented it from departing for Port Canaveral. The ship is expected to head back to the port Sunday. The 7-day cruise is not an 8-day excursion. The Disney Cruise Line is allowing them to make free cell phone calls and will get a 20 percent discount off of their next cruise.
Guests who were expecting to depart on the Disney Magic for an eastern Caribbean cruise out of the port on Saturday will have to wait one more day. Their cruise will be cut to six days from seven.
Disney has offered these guests a day at Epcot and is working to find them resort rooms for the night. They will also receive a 20 percent on their vacation, as well as $120 in credits on board the ship. They will also be allowed to cancel their trip without penalty.
